In this informal, midsize, four-bedroom home plan, about two-thirds of the main floor is devoted to a sun-washed family living area that fits this description to a T.
Entering, you walk across the covered porch into a two-story vaulted entry with a stairway wrapping up the left side and light washing in through three stair-step windows. The window-bright family room, anchored by a fireplace, flows into a dining area that is open to the kitchen. A raised eating bar marks the boundary between these areas, as does a rectangular window bay that expands and illuminates the dining room. Centrally placed glass doors slide open to provide access to a large patio.
Kitchen work space is in ample supply, with counters that wrap around three sides. Just inside the entry, double doors open into a room that could be used as a home office, guest room, shared family study, hobby room, or whatever suits.
The master suite is on the upper level along with three more bedrooms and a shared bathroom. In addition to a vaulted ceiling, master suite amenities include a large walk-in closet and a private bathroom with dual vanity, spa tub, separately enclosed shower and toilet.
