Study Set - Digital
A set of copyrighted house plans intended for review purposes that are emailed to you. Stamped "NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION", this set does not come with a building license and due to copyright law, cannot be copied. To build from the plans, you need to upgrade to 5-Sets, PDF or CAD (if available) and we’ll credit your full purchase of the Study Set toward the upgrade.
PDF - Single-Build
A plan set in PDF format with a license to build one home and a release giving you permission to make changes and allowing you to print sets as needed. Delivered digitally, typically within 1 to 2 days. Comes with a Single-Build License giving you permission to build the home one time.
5 Sets + PDF
Five printed sets (shipped) and a PDF (delivered digitally) of construction documents with a copyright release and a single license to build.
8 Sets + PDF
8 printed sets mailed to you plus a PDF that is emailed. Comes with a copyright release giving permission to make changes along with a license to build one home.
PDF - Unlimited Build
A set of working drawings delivered in a PDF digital format that come with a license to build an unlimited number of homes with no re-use fees. A copyright release is included for making modifications and printing sets.
CAD - Single-Build
Used by design professionals, structural engineers and builders, the CAD (computer-aided design) file is used to make significant modifications to a plan (requires CAD software and an experienced draftsperson). This version includes a copyright release giving you legal permission to make changes and printing unlimited sets. It is delivered by email and comes with a license to build one home. Not all designers use the same CAD program. Please contact us to learn more about the software used for a specific plan.
CAD - Unlimited Build
Used by design professionals, structural engineers and builders, the CAD files (this plan was designed in Softplan and the files saved in .DWG format for use in AutoCAD) are used to make significant modifications to a plan. It is delivered by email and comes with a license to build unlimited number of homes with no re-use fees. Not all designers use the same CAD program.
