Intended as a lower cost starter home, the basic hip roof creates a farm home façade that is both attractive and less expensive than other roof styles.
The large receiving porch utilizes a shed roof for absolute minimum cost as does the covered patio.
All exterior window and doors are under porch roofs to provide protection from the elements and from solar gain making the home less expensive to cool.
The living room has a volume 16’ ceiling with an abundance of light from the main level windows and windows from the dormer above.
