Plan Details

  • A covered entry porch with timber supports, a smaller one on the left and a huge one on the right, are the only elements that veer away from this barndominium-style house plan being a 56' wide and 36' deep box. Its simple shape - and the fact that this house plan was designed with a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) in mind - make this a very cost-efficient home to build.
  • A PEMB is the most commonly used structure when building a barndominium. A PEMB can be engineered, fabricated and shipped to any location in the world and generally can be installed in a much shorter time than a traditionally framed home. Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings get a project in the dry very quickly and allow for interior build-outs to be convenient, not having to support roof loads. 
  • The great room and kitchen are under a 2-story ceiling and have sliding door access to the sid poch.
  • The master suite is conveniently located on the main floor and two bedrooms - plus a loft and bath - are on the second floor.
  • This metal house plan is available with 2x6 exterior framing by selecting it from the Options menu.
